A Collegiette’s Guide to an A1 Super Bowl Party

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CAU chapter.

Big screen TV. It’s unrealistic to watch the most important game of the year on a 16 inch TV. Make sure whoeveris hosting the party has the best TV. Otherwise, you’ll look like an idiot. The bigger, the better is always a great motto to go by! The bigger the TV, the more you’ll be able to see! Who wouldn’t want to watch all the action on a jumbo screen?

Who to invite. Invite as many friends and family possible! You want this party to be LIVE! But be careful of allowing too many people in your home. It will get crowded very easily and start to become unmanageable.

Clean up. Make sure the house is squeaky clean so the guests can watch the game in comfort. No one wants to be in a house with funk and dirt. Also, make sure you clean up after the party is over! Ask your guests to clean up behind themselves and if you need to, ask a few to stay behind to help you with any extra trash.

Décor. It is essential to make sure your guest feel like they are in football utopia. The decorations should make them feel as if they are in the arena. Whether you go to Party City or Family Dollar to get your decorations, make sure that your party space is filled with fun and exciting Super Bowl décor!

Commercials. Everyone loves the Super Bowl for its memorable commercials. So why not make it fun? Make a game out of the commercials! Get the guest to guess what company’s commercial will come on and at the end of the night the person with the most correct guesses will win a prize.

Food. The most critical asset to the party! The Super Bowl is one of the biggest parties of the year so please DO NOT be cheap when purchasing food. In order to pay attention there has to be the best munchies to satisfy those taste buds. Order wings, fries, soda, and America’s favorite… PIZZA!! Make sure to get plenty so you don’t run out!

No kids allowed. Yes we loves kids but if you want all of your attention on the TV, then keep them away! It would a bummer if you missed the most important moment of football history chasing after the little ones.
