Why did you choose Bryn Mawr College? “I chose Bryn Mawr because I got matched to them through the Posse Program! I also wanted to get away from home and do something different school-wise. Most of my friends ended up going to school in Texas and that isn’t something I really wanted to do. I’m really glad I did.”
What’s your favorite thing about Bryn Mawr College? “My favorite thing is likely the traditions. I’ve had a turbulent relationship with this campus, but a lot of my best memories of campus are tied to the traditions! Getting my lantern was probably the best thing.”
What’s your favorite class and/or professor? “My favorite class at Bryn Mawr would have to be my ESEM. Mine was titled “Drugs, Brain, and Culture,” and it explored topics related to mental health and society’s perceptions of drug use and mental illness. It helped Solidify my interests in neuroscience.”
Do you have a funny memory from your time at Bryn Mawr? “Well one time my whole Spanish Class bailed out after our professor was over 20 minutes late. And she came and no one was there so We were hiding out in canaday basement. Our professor called one of the girls and we had to act like we all weren’t with her.”
What’s your favorite thing about winter at Bryn Mawr College? “Snow days are nice. Bryn Mawr looks gorgeous in the snow!”
The count down to finals is on! Where’s your favorite place on campus to study? ”I like studying in Collier because it is so quiet! I can’t study in Lusty or Canaday because too many people talk there.”
Do you have any advice for how to best survival finals? “Done is good will get you through the week! Getting sleep and generally trying to keep up with self care are important. I think that spacing finals out and taking the easier ones first might be better.
What are you most looking forward to during Winter Break? “I was looking forward to being in Canada to see my boyfriend. It was very cold and really fun! Toronto is also a really great city and I would love to live there one day.”
