4) Go to Local Holiday EventsÂ
Search on google holiday events in the closet city to where you live. Local holiday events are a cool way to meet people in your area and a great way to ring in the holiday spirit. A lot of cities have community tree lightings or ballets!Â
5) Go Christmas ShoppingÂ
Christmas shopping can be stressful but if you make it about giving gifts and enjoying the holiday season it can be fun! Grab your friends or your family and take a day to go shopping! You can also figure out what your friends want while shopping with them!
6) Watch a Christmas Movie with your FamilyÂ
Watching a christmas movie is my favorite part of christmas! Sit back with a cup of hot coco and a fire burning and enjoy a classic christmas film. I love Elf, Home Alone, A Christmas Story, Its a Wonderful Life, Santa Clause, Love Actually, The Grinch, Santa Clause is Comin’ to Town, Frosty the Snowman, A Year without Santa Clause, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Rudolph The Red Noised Reindeer and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (Cartoon).Â
7) Try a Winter SportÂ
Ice skating, hockey, skiing, sledding or snowboarding are all such great winter activities! But if you don’t live by snow maybe go to a local ice skating rink!Â
8) VolunteerÂ
Google holiday volunteering in your local area to find opportunities to volunteer during the holidays. Holidays are an expensive and hard time for many people and soup kitchens and food pantries always need lots of help around Christmas time, even if its just donating food.Â
9) Take a Little TripÂ
Try to take a trip up to the snow or mountains! The mountains are such a perfect place to find holiday spirit and some fun in the snow!
10) Play GamesÂ
Curling up to a fire while playing board games or card games is a cozy holiday tradition.Â
