Being in college, we have all said we don’t need our mom’s help anymore with the idea that we can do it ALL on our own. If you haven’t figured it out yet, that is a complete lie. We may think because of the education and new independence we’ve found in college that we know everything, when honestly we will continue to ask our moms the same questions for years to come. Bless their hearts. Here are five questions we know mom will just always have to hear:
1. Can you put more money on my debit card?
We hate to admit this one. No matter if you’re at home, at school, or have a job, you will be asking your mom for a little extra pocket money until she has no more to give to you… And then you’ll still ask after that. Kudos if you can make this question disappear before you graduate.
2. What would actually happen if I washed whites and colors together?
Washing clothes can be quite a difficult task to grasp and we will ruin many white outfits until we get it down perfectly… sorry mom for calling you every week on laundry day!
3. How do I thaw a chicken?
Over Thanksgiving break I realized I didn’t know what an egg beater is…. So that’s always good. We’ll always ask for mom’s advice in the kitchen, but at least most of us know our way around the kitchen when it comes to the eating part.
4. What’s my social security number?
My mom has told me MULTIPLE times to memorize it but those dang 9 digits can never make it to my long-term memory. Whoops.
5. How many stamps do I put on something?
Texting involves no stamps or return addresses, so thanks mom for answering this question for me every time I have to write and send a thank you note.
In short, just remember… Moms knows best and she always will.
