The holidays—truly the best and worst time of year. Being a student in college means learning the value of a dollar and learning how to budget your money. But, how is this possible when you want to buy your family and friends the gifts they deserve? No worries, we got you covered. There are many ways to make some extra cash by doing simple jobs that do not require too much of your time.
The first option is to become a tutor. Yeah this might not be the most glamorous job but there are students who need help in different subjects. You can post ads all over campus for your student services and what you specialize in. You can also spread the information on social media and tell your friends if they know people who need help with papers, homework, or studying for a test. The best part about this is that, this can lead to more of a part-time job if more students need help and other students are referring you.
I know this one may be a bit more difficult, but the second option is to sell some of those clothes that you have no use for. It is hard to part ways with some of that clothing that we have had for a long time but luckily, there is a Buffalo Exchange near campus that will offer you money for clothes or a discount if you want to by clothes from there. You can also sell them on your social media accounts, especially if your friends love your style.
Another way to make money is to deliver food. The Tapingo App has been a really popular hit with the students and it seems like someone is always in need of a food delivery. This job is more ideal if you have more of a relaxed schedule and love riding your bike to different places.
Lastly, if you are looking for a more permanent part-time job and not just needing money ASAP, a lot of the boutiques and shops on university are always hiring. This would be great for people who love to interact with people on a daily basis and just love the University Ave environment.
Whatever the job may be, enjoy it and hurry because the holidays are right around the corner!
