It’s Christmas, which means increadible food including MINCE PIES!! Yum Yum!Â
Ingredients:Â
- 1 jar mincemeatÂ
- 2 satsumas
- 1 appleÂ
- 1 zest lemon
- a little icing sugar
- 375g plain flour
- 260g unsalted butter
- 125g caser sugar
- 1 egg
Method:
- Rub flour and butter together to make a crumb consistency. Add the sugar and the egg and mix. Fold the pastry until it comes together and then wrap it in cling film and *chill* for 10 mins.
- Add the satsumas, apple, and zest to mincemeat.
- Heat the oven to 220C. Roll out pastry.
- Using a cutter, cut out the pastry and put them into muffin trays. Fill with mincemeat, brush the sides with egg, and add a lid. Glaze the top with egg, sprinkle a little sugar, and make a small indent in the top.
- Bake for 15-20 mins until golden brown.
