What better way to burn off the thousands of calories you ingested from Thanksgiving dinner the night before than by chasing sales at a shopping center for Black Friday? This annual event is no joke and is definitely a memorable experience despite all the commotion that comes along with it. To my fellow shopaholics: chug some caffeine and lace up your running shoes because it’s going to be a long morning. Here’s what you can expect: Â
Brace yourself for the chaos– there will be lots of it.Â
On the bright side, you’ll get plenty of items practically for free. Â
However, the number of sales is also directly proportional to the number of shoe fights that might occur.Â
Which also explains why your size might sell out.Â
Injuries, in the midst of all this madness, are not uncommon.Â
Did I mention the extremely large crowds? Â
Consider packing snacks. You’ll be in those lines for. . .well, a while.Â
When you finally get inside the stores, avoid giving employees attitude. They will give it right back to you.Â
Yes, there will be screaming children and sadly, even adults at some point.Â
By the end of your shopping spree, you’ll feel a little like this.Â
With that said, if Black Friday shopping is in your upcoming schedule, remember: wear comfortable shoes, pack a first aid kit and may the odds be ever in your favor.Â
