There are some perks of attending a school in the middle of the Pine Barrens. One of my favorite parts that Stockton University offers are the numerous nature trails. One trail, which starts by the freshman dorm parking lots, takes you through the trees and over a bridge. A bridge most have deemed “The Bridge to Nowhere.”
The long bridge takes you over the muddy, wet mush that coats the woods only to lead you to the other side, which just happens to be more woods and trails.
Professor Emari DiGiorgio, who teaches the class Why Poetry Matters, instructed her classes to take pieces of wood to write poems on and tie the plaques onto trees. As you walk across the bridge, you can read them.
