Fall in Love with your Look: 5 Makeup Must Haves for this Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marymount chapter.

Do you ever find yourself in a makeup rut, wearing the same look day-to-day and season-to-season? Well, you no longer have to feel bored with your makeup look. I am going to show you five makeup must haves to transform your look this fall! Get ready to enter the world of plums, deep red, and gold!

1. Plum Colored Blush

For some of us, reaching for a darker colored blush can be downright scary. I was afraid it would be too harsh or bold, but I was wrong! Going for a subtle plum blush will warm up your face. You can blend it out as much or as little as you want, depending on the look you are going for. Add a dusting of light bronzer and you will be fall fabulous!

2. Deep Red Lipstick

This trend can also be a scary one, but when done right has the power to transform any look. Red lips are a hot item, but when deepened up for the fall they add a sense of elegance and mystery. For perfect the deep red lip, I recommend adding concealer around the lips, applying lip liner, and then going in with your favorite deep red lipstick. You can also coat the finished lips with a gloss.

3. Gold Eyeshadow

On a lazy fall day, gold eyes and simple black liner are my go-to. Gold eyeshadow comes in a variety of different tones and can look good on anyone. Gold eyes are effortless, but they make it looked like you tried. For me, I simply prime my lids, dust on a simple gold shadow, and then finish the look with simple black liner on the upper lash line. It barely takes any time, but makes you look like a million bucks!

4. Cranberry Brown Smokes

Obviously this look is one of my reoccurring fall favorites. It can be dressed down for the daytime or amped up for a fall night out. It’s a simple smokey eye that incorporates cranberry, brown, and a hint of gold. It leaves your eyes shimmering and a source of conversation. Don’t be afraid to add a pop of color to your lids!

5.  Tan Keeper

I think my least favorite part about fall, and most dismal part, is when your beautiful summer tan begins to fade. I go from a nice olive tone to Casper the Ghost. There is an easy and more natural route to keeping your golden glow. I recommend a product like Jergens Natural Glow. It gives your skin a natural color while moisturizing. It can’t get much better than that!

Don’t afraid to get a little bold this fall and try out a few of these makeup must haves! You can find them all in a wide variety of shades and tones that fit your complexion. They can also be found at the drugstore or on a more high-end scale. Regardless of price, they all have a great way of amping up and transforming your look!
