There is a reason that Finding Nemo is one of the greatest movies in the history of all movies. In addition to having loveable characters and a 10 out of 10 plot, Finding Nemo leaves all its viewers with some beautiful life takeaways.

1. Teamwork makes the dream work.

2. Fish are friends, not food. (Looking at you, Mac Sushi Nights.)

3. No one likes a greedy landlubber or the synonymous over the top flag footballer with only one word in his or her vocabulary.

4. Always keep wearing your retainer…or else.

5. ‘Tis always handy to speak another language.

6. But first master English or you will look like a buffoon as you accidently say “twee” instead of the English word “three” in a presentation.

7. Contrary to what the other 99% of Disney movies suggest, not all creepy looking scar faced individuals are evil. In fact, they may just save your life and reunite you with your long lost best friend and/or father.

8. It is A-Okay to cry within the first two minutes of an animated children’s movie. If not, please consult a cardiologist and check if you possess a heart.

9. Your dad, whether he is Marlin or Liam Neeson, always has your back. Whether he risks his life traveling across the ocean to find you or depletes all his life savings to pay for your college tuition. Thanks pops <3

10. Don’t let your awkwardness or your faults set you back. You may feel like the less attractive fish with too small of a right fin but look whose name is the star of an Academy Award winning Featured Film. Not Tad the obnoxious fish, but Nemo.

11. Don’t touch the butt. Just don’t.
