As the nights draw in, your focus is most likely going to be on keeping warm, rather than what your hair looks like! However, never fear: Her Campus has put together four things to do with your hair in less than five minutes – meaning more time in bed on those cold mornings!
Plaits
The humble plait may take you back to the days when you wore a checked dress and Clarks shoes, but they have made a comeback in recent months. If you still haven’t mastered how to braid then this video is a great place to start. They are great if you’ve forgotten to wash your hair as the texture will make the plaits stay in longer.  To make it look less like photo day at school, you can pull strands out for a messy look and use clear elastic hair ties.
Messy Bun
The messy bun is the trusty old friend of the hair world. I put my hair in a pony tail and then twist it around itself and secure with another bobble so it then lasts all day. If you have shorter hair and struggle to get it all in one bun, it also looks great with half up and half down. This is perfect for keeping hair out your face on a busy day and also hides unwashed hair brilliantly.
Beanie
When it’s chucking it down with rain, any time spent on your hair is wasted. This is when a cosy beanie comes in handy. If you keep one in your bag, you are sorted for nearly any eventuality. On a bad hair day, throwing one of these on can make it a good hair day!
Ponytail
Another basic; a pony tail will probably take you a minute! Make sure if you don’t have a fringe that you pull out strands of hair at the front to help frame your face. If you have more time to spend, leave a piece of hair out and then wrap it around the bobble for a sleek look, or you can use a scrunchie or thicker hair tie to add some colour.
