This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at KU chapter.
1. Name: David Treviño Jr.
2. Major: Chemical Engineering and International Studies
3. Year: Freshman
4. Hometown: Wichita, Kansas
5. What are three things you want to do before you graduate? Study abroad in Costa Rica to enhance my international engineering experience and foster growth for a career in global development. Skinny dip in the Chi Omega Fountain. Perform in a Drag Show—my name would be Cinnamon.
6. If you could be anyone in the world, who would it be and why? I want to be Nicki Minaj because not only does she embody the perfect definition of an entertaining rapping artist, she is a strong advocate for women’s social and political rights.
7. If you won the lottery, what would you do first? Buy my mom her dream home.
8. What is your favorite memory at KU so far? Dropping it like it’s hot with Kirsten Phillips in front of and inside Mrs. E’s.
9. Where do you see yourself five years from now? Hopefully in a communal developing engineering plant in Latin America assisting in environmental safety, renewable resources of energy and reducing toxic emissions for global cleanliness.
10. Why do you think you deserve the title of Mr. KU? I’m not sure what the other candidates bring to the table, but I know that I bring a radiating smile, strong academic dedication and social justice advocacy. I want to bring awareness to the effects of testicular cancer by carrying open dialogues for support for those affected and what we can do as a singular humanity to help each other hope for ultimate healing.
