If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, it can be stressful to know what to do in the state of crisis. Based on concerning numbers from last year’s BU sexual misconduct survey, the University has addressed plans to take action. After the recent assault case in West Campus, BUPD notified students to be aware of their surroundings and to remember safety in numbers. As important as it is for universities to respond to sexual assault, students should know how to take their own action. Â

It’s important to remember that you do not have to go through any situation alone. The Crisis Intervention Counselor at SARP will give you information and support, while maintaining your confidentiality. The Crisis Intervention Counselor can help you understand how you are feeling and what your options are. You can say “no” to any of the options presented to you.Â
