What is your favorite thing about CNU?
“What don’t I love about CNU? I love the huge sense of community at CNU. I love that I am always going to see someone I know and there is always a friendly face anywhere I go. If I am having a bad day, seeing all of the happy students picks me back up.”
You were recently selected to be a Student Director of Orientation for Welcome Week. What are you looking forward to with this opportunity?
“I am excited to see what changes I can make to orientation so that freshman feel more comfortable with the transition to the CNU community!”

What was the best thing about Crew Leading this past summer?
“This was one of the best things I have ever done. I made a lot of really great friends. I loved being a mentor to so many incoming freshmen. It was great to see them as nervous when they first got here, and then find their comfort zone when they came back to CNU.”

Tell me about the One-Act Festival coming up.
“This year we are doing a new thing for One Acts! First, we are doing a full stage reading of Don Quixote on Nov. 5. Then during the actual festival which shows Dec. 4 and 5, we will put on the shortened One Act version. I’m really excited to be part of this production! This is my second year performing in the One Acts. This is one of the more fun things that Theatre CNU does, and doesn’t get as much recognition as it should.”
Jonathan will be playing the roles of Nichols, the Mule Driver, and the Pig Breeder.

What is your favorite thing about performing?
“My favorite thing is continuing to practice and work hard, and then finally hearing/seeing it pay off. I love always doing new things that surprise me and my professors. It is great to always see self-improvement and hard work really pay off.”

What are your plans for after graduation?
“I plan to do travel theatre or perform on a cruise line to save money and get professional credits on my resume. After that I plan to pursue an acting career in New York City.”
Catch Jonathan in plays and concerts around campus! He is fun and friendly, and can always make you smile when you see him! And, like all of us, he loves being a CNU Captain!
