With thousands of sold out shows, debuting at the top of the charts, and now a feature in a movie, it’s pretty easy to say the pop punk band All Time Low, is on the cusp of making it big. Forming in 2003 in a suburb of Baltimore, MD, this band has put out an incredible discography including their most recent album Future Hearts which debuted as #1 on both US and UK charts.
The band in comprised of members Alex Gaskarth (vocals, rhythm guitar), Jack Barakat (Lead Guitar, backing vocals), Rain Dawson (Drums, percussion), and Zack Merrik (bass, backing vocals). Some of their hit singles include “Weightless” and “Dear Maria Count Me In” which has recently went to platinum level. Alex Gaskarth is also noted for working closely with the pop band 5 Seconds of Summer.
The band is now preparing to embark on their second US tour this year, the “Back to the Future Hearts Tour.” The band has already toured the UK and Canada this year. Recently, the movie Fangirl debuted on ABC family, which is about a girl obsessed with her favorite band, All Time Low. The band and their songs are heavily featured in the movie, as well as other notable pop punk groups. It’s pretty clear that “pop punk” music hasn’t really been in the forefront of the music scene since the mid 2000’s, but the recent success of All Time Low make it seems like times may be changing. All Time Low is definitely on the verge of something great!
