Name: Kevin
Year: Last Year
Program: Major in Psychology with a Minor in Social Science of Health
HC: What do you do on campus?K: I’m a student ambassador, a varsity track athlete (mid distance), a member of the student athlete council, and I’ve been a 101 guide a few times.  Haha, I’m a busy guy.
HC: What are your plans after univeristy?K: To work for a bit, either with the school or maybe doing work abroad with non profits, but I’m leaning towards taking some time to fill up the bank account before I go back to school. And then I’d get a masters or maybe go to law school.
HC:Â Single or Taken?K:Â Single
HC:Â What’s your favourite TV show?K:Â Portlandia & The League
HC:Â What’s the ideal first date?K:Â To go out for a few (just a few) drinks sometime during the week, nothing too crazy.
HC: What do you look for in a SO?K: Someone who’s caring. I really admire a sense of humour & overall happiness. Someone you just want to be around. Â
HC: What kind of music are you currently into?K: Growing up we weren’t allowed to listen to the radio that often, so I just listened to what I could get my hands on. There was some gospel, jazz and blues. While everyone was listening to the Backstreet Boys, I listened to Etta James and Oscar Peterson. Sunday Kind of Love by Etta James is my favourite song. Â
HC: What’s your dream job?K: I have this recurring dream where I’m a musician in a jazz ensemble, playing bass!
HC:Â How would you describe yourself in 3 words?K:Â Fun-loving, good listener & passionate
HC:Â What are some of your hobbies?K:Â When I have some spare time I like physical activity and moving around. I love music, so I really enjoy going to concerts and things like that.
HC: What’s your biggest achievement (so far)?K: Sticking with track. It’s my second year running so I’m still learning, but showing up and being committed would probably be my biggest achievement so far.
HC: What would you say is your best experience at uOttawa?K: I loved my time as a 101 guide, I’ve met a lot of my good friends that way. It’s tiring at times, but it’s very rewarding. You get to impact someone’s life and be their first impression of the school. I think that’s why I like being an ambassador, as well.
HC:Â What’s been your most embarrassing moment?K:Â Haha, so many to choose from. Okay, I went to a high school where we wore uniforms and one day my pants ripped, the whole seam right down my leg. So I went around to all these girls to ask them for the pins off the skirts to put my pants together. I actually got a lot of pins!
HC: Tell us a fun fact about yourself!K: I am fascinated by the Italian language, so I’m learning it using Rosetta Stone.
HC:Â Any last words?K:Â I am very honoured to be a campus cutie.
