Her Campus (HC): Tell us about your recent internship with Columbia Records!
Rachel Wohlfeld (RW): This summer I was in New York City interning at a record company because I wanted to experience a different side of marketing. I worked there as publicity intern so I would do stuff like press releases, getting info about tour dates out to the public and event planning. I still love all their artists! Columbia Records music is practically all I listen to. I was able to be in the front row of a One Direction concert, which was amazing. It was such a great experience.
HC: What are your favorite songs to listen to right now?
RW: I love Justin Beiber’s new song “What Do You Mean” and The Weeknd’s new album. I also love the oldies like Van Morrison and Bruce Springsteen.
HC: Do you want to work in the music industry?
RW: I would, but I think I would rather work in the entertainment industry alongside celebrities. I really think I would enjoy a fast-paced career like that.

HC: Right now you’re a campus representative for CBS. What’s that like?
RW: It’s really cool. I’m on a project-by-project basis promoting shows. I recently hosted a premiere for our new show Limitless. I just started, so I don’t know what my next event will be.
HC: Are you involved in any other organizations?
RW: I’m a member of Sigma Delta Tau. I love the friends I’ve made; I know I can count on them for anything.

HC: If you could travel to any one place right now, where would you go?
RW: Well, I studied abroad last spring semester in Valencia, Spain. It was amazing. I made the most incredible friendships. I also was able to travel around Europe to places like Morocco, Amsterdam, London and Portugal so I would love to revisit one of those places and there are so many more on my list!
HC: What’s your favorite memory here at FSU?
RW: The night we won the 2013 National Championship was a really great night. I really felt the school spirit, and it was great to see the joy on my friends’ faces and to celebrate with my fellow students.
HC: If you could do any one thing over, what would it be and why?
RW: I don’t know. I don’t usually like to think like that because I think certain things happen for a reason. I like to think that things will work out.
HC: Any advice for incoming Seminoles?
RW: Try to put yourself out there, and don’t be scared to meet new people. There are a lot of great ways to connect on campus whether it’s by joining clubs or sitting down next to someone in a dining hall.

HC: What do you look for in a relationship?
RW: Someone who is thoughtful, who is funny, who likes to be adventurous and spontaneous, someone who like to dance. Since I’m a huge foodie, someone who would be willing to try new restaurants with me.
HC: Since you want to work with celebrities, do you have any favorites?
RW: I love Amy Poehler. I think she’s brilliant and amazingly talented. She’s not afraid to go after what she wants. She’s passionate about helping other women, which I really admire.
HC: What’s the best place to eat in Tallahassee?
RW: Kool Beanz, Taco Republic, Sweet Pea Café, Tally Thai and so many more! I’m really adventurous when it comes to eating.

HC: What do you like to do in your free time?
RW: I used to love playing sports, but I tore my ACL when I was in Spain so now I am taking it easy. I still enjoy working out, but I’ve been trying new things like painting, writing, drawing and going for walks. And I love to rap!
HC: What trait do you value most in other people?
RW: Thoughtfulness. The little things mean so much to me, like when I get a “good luck” text.
HC: Do you have a favorite quote or motto?
RW: “Whateva whateva I do what I want!”
