This cute restaurant has been operating for over 25 years under the ownership of a father-son team. Purple Chopstix is surprisingly not Chinese, but “local, original, and traditional cuisine” ranging from brunch, Greek pizza, Nachos Grande, Nori Sushi Rolls, and a variety of other options.

Sitting right next to University Commons, this small restaurant has BIG taste. Their specials, such as Meatball Monday and Taco Tuesday will have you coming back each week for a new treat. The portions are large and in charge, so be sure to check out this one of a kind flavor.

Athens Uncorked

This beautiful wine bar is designed for a quieter, more adult-like experience hiding off of Union Street. Athens Uncorked serves a variety of wines from all across Ohio and the states. Their small menu consists of locally made cheeses and fresh fruits and meats. Their house rules state that it’s not the place for “car bombs, jager-bombs, or bombs of any kind,” and “Please do not bring anyone to Athens Uncorked that you wouldn’t bring to your mother’s house for Sunday dinner.” I think you can follow that!
