Yes it is finally that time of the year once again. The Pumpkin Spice Latte is back, the air is cooler, football has begun, and the leaves are beginning to change. Fall has arrived! I’m sure many of you are like me and claim fall as your favorite season. There are so many fun things to do, with the perfect weather to do them! Fall just makes you feel so relaxed and cozy. With that being said, here are some ways you can spice up your dorm room this fall to give it that cozy and relaxed atmosphere that goes with your mood.Â
Â
1. PumpkinsÂ
I have to say that possibly one of the cutest decorations, that screams fall, is baby pumpkins. They look incredibly adorable sitting on a shelf or a desk. They also give you an excuse to go to a pumpkin patch or have a decorating contest with your roommates. If you don’t have time for that you can always find them at your local grocery store during the fall months.Â
Â
2. Candles and Warm Scents
I cannot rant enough at how a scent can change the feel of your room. Fall scents are the best. They can smell like the outdoors, bring back a fall memory, or smell like Granny’s homemade apple pie. If you can’t have a candle I suggest a wax melter or a plug-in air freshener. Some of my favorite fall scents from Bath and Body Works are Mahogany Teakwood, Farmstand Apple, and Pumpkin Apple. You can even make your own!
3. Pillows, Blankets, Sheets- Oh My!
Another great way to get your room all cozy this fall is by replacing your bold throw pillows and blankets with a more warm toned color. Try something along the lines of brown, red, maroon, or orange. Change your sheets to something a little softer as well. I personally recommend the flannel kind. The only negative to this is you might not want to get out of bed.Â
4. Festive Wall Art and Simple Touches.Â
Don’t forget to adorn your walls with some festive fall art! You can easily make some leaf garland to hang up, paint yourself a fall picture, or put a quote on some warn-out wood for a more rustic look. A few other simple touches you can add for a more fall feel are filling a candy jar with candy corn, placing some pinecones in a vase to sit out, and changing any light bulbs to a warmer color.Â
So there you have it ladies, a few simple ways to keep your room cozy this fall and so you can better enjoy our favorite season!
