In honor one of women’s most loved piece of clothing, this post is all about jeans. Yes, jeans! Whether you wear it because it’s comfortable, makes your body look good, or just because you like a neutral style and wants to highlight your new blouse, a good pair of jeans is your ultimate companion. Key to any closet, denim jeans showed up on the early 80’s and became an addiction. Since that period, they have never left our hearts. It’s proper for every day situation you’ll go through, especially for us, girls, who study and appreciate to be comfortable yet adaptable.
Still, the jeans have gone through many transformations these last few seasons – from clean, basic and skinny to embroidered, loose and full of 80’s influences. That being said, we will talk you through the new trends around denim pants and how you can use them in your fabulous day-by-day.
EMBROIDERED: Since Dolce & Gabanna’s Spring/Summer 2015’s runway show, embroidery and stones applications became a must-have on denim pants. What makes it so fantastic is how they can still be comfy and fashionable. You can throw on a white T-shirt, flats and be really well dressed, yet casual, and ready to go from school to a girl’s night out.
PANTALONA: Cropped pants are now a hit and we cannot deny it. However, nobody said they should only be skinny. This last season we’ve seen at runway shows and street style a profusion of pantalona cropped denim pants, influenced by the 70’s wave that rocked contemporary fashion. Even though they are simple, they still have and edge to it, what makes it look good with basically any blouse. Flowy or tight ones. The big deal here are the shoes you are going to match with. Some fashionistas have used denim pantalonas with high neck boots leaving no skin showing off. However, it is your pick, and whichever shoe you’d like to match, from sneakers to gladiators, we say “Go for it”. Just be careful if you are not very tall because this type of pants can make your silhouette appear a bit shorter.
DESTROYED JEANS: Being a major hit a few years ago, I’m pretty you still have at least one pair in your wardrobe. Destroyed jeans disappeared for a few seasons and gave place to skinny and no rips denim, but now they’re back. And REALLY ripped. Do not save any piece of leg to privacy, the more destroyed, the better. Especially if your knees are out.Destroyed jeans are a very cool way to dress. Although they have an “I don’t care” vibe, they look quite nice with more tidy and preppy pieces, like silky blouses and linen blazers, in order to make that low high style.
