Hello, lovely ladies!
This week’s Campus Cutie is a real charmer! He’s a really nice guy and is very easy going. With a sporty and laid-back personality, you can tell he is someone that gets along with just about anyone. So, without further ado, I give you Jamie Cumberbatch!
Name: Jamie Cumberbatch
Nickname: Jay
Year: Sophomore
Hometown: Clinton, Md.
Major: Exercise science
Dream Job: European football player
Relationship Status: Single
Zodiac Sign: Virgo
Approach or Be Approached: I am just a “go with the flow” kind of guy.
Campus Activities: WVWC Football Team
Hobbies: Football, listening to music, learning about the world.
Favorite Quote or Motto: “Talent is God given, what you do with it is man made.” I like it because it speaks volumes to work ethic and that work ethic can lead to things that you never thought imaginable.
Perfect Date: We would go paintballing and then to the movies; it would be like a cliché romantic comedy. Then we would have dinner at a fun diner and enjoy each other’s company and get to know each other better. Then we’d just see where the rest of the night takes us.
Celebrity Girl Crush: Rita Ora because her voice is so soothing to me and I really love jamming to her music!
Favorite TV Show: The Walking Dead. I’m currently waiting on the new season to start. I have always been fascinated with zombies ever since I was young so that’s why I like the show so much!
Favorite Food: Pizza! I’m a lover of all toppings and can’t choose just one!
Are you a good dancer? Yes, I think so. It depends on the type of dance and where I am but, I still like dancing.
Do you have any pets? No, but if I had one it would be a tiger!
Where do you most want to travel? All of Europe; there is an entire world out there and I’d love to see their culture and how it is so different then ours. It all seems so timeless and historic.
Best asset: My personality. I know how to keep conversations with people and keep them engaged so that they feel comfortable talking to me.
Favorite book: The Shack by Ted Decker because it was a religious book with a unique twist that gave a perspective on how other people lived their lives.
Genie in a bottle, what are your three wishes?: world peace, unlimited money, longevity for me, my family and friends.
Greatest moment at Wesleyan: Finishing freshman year. I am one of the few people in my family to attend college and it was a great accomplishment for me.
Most embarrassing moment: Ripping my pants at the bling ally. I was going to throw the ball but I stretched a little to far and my inseam ripped. Needless to say, it was pretty funny. I had to walk around the rest of the time with a huge hole in my jeans!
,Greatest achievement: Being a Junior Olympian for track in the 4×1 event. It was a really great experience. Some days I wish I could go back.
Advice to your younger self: Take school and the weight room seriously. I wasn’t as focused in school and it hurt me when applying for colleges. The weight room I didn’t take as seriously as I should have and now, in college, I see how it has led to injuries and hurts me in certain aspects during games.
Question to your future self: When did you know that you’ve achieved everything that you set out for? I’ve always wanted a higher living status and I wonder if I ever achieved it the way I thought I would.
