Major: Business (Marketing and Management), Minor in BEMT

Favorite movie: Stoker (2013)

Favorite quote: “We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love” – Dr. Seuss
Go-to Repeat Song on iPod: This literally changes weekly, but right now it is “Midnight” by Lianne La Havas
Fun fact: I’ve been on 38 cruises and I get visibly upset about not being able to see all the friends I’ve made on them over the years.
HC NYU: What are your activities and interests?
FN: I am really into film and TV so usually I like to watch movies over and over again, looking for things I didn’t notice before. I listen to a lot of music. I spend hours looking through iTunes searching for new artists. I love retail therapy and there is nothing like going for a walk, finding somewhere quaint, and reading a book.
HC NYU: What are your future goals and aspirations?
FN: Right now because I manage a band, I’m thinking about being in the music industry. It’s a cool idea but I am mostly leaning towards marketing for film and TV. I love the process of creating trailers and one-sheets. Even the whole calculation of where and when to advertise a film is interesting to me. Working for A24 would be crazy amazing because indie movies are finally becoming more popular so it would be cool to be apart of that.
HC NYU: What is it like managing a band?
FN: It’s weird. No, it’s actually pretty cool. We’re all in different places around the world so we have to be available to each other at all times of the day so that gets kind of exhausting. But it’s interesting to have your name out there. We’ve made a lot of connections with other bands (Catfish and the Bottleman and Palma Violets) so having them know who I am and me talking to their management is just weird to think about. I got hired in April and so much has happened with them and it’s all very exciting. My mind is always thinking of what we can do next. Its good experience for sure. The girls are hilarious, they are such artists and it’s fun to text them during their google hangouts or interviews and be like “NOOOO don’t say that!” Or “make sure to mention this!” It’s so much fun. HC NYU: Who are some of your favorite musicians/bands?
FN: I love Lana del Rey as basic as that may sound. I just love her ability to tell a story, I feel like she must be so smart and has stories for days. Also, I’m really into Chet Faker, Tove Styrke, Bring Me the Horizon, Foals, Urban Cone, Joywave, Meltybrains? and Years & Years. It’s so hard to just choose a few. I’ve got a really random taste in music since I went to South by Southwest. Lately I’ve been searching for music I can groove to. Literally groove. This new era of Justin Bieber isn’t bad either.
HC NYU: What do you look for in a guy?
FN: I look for someone who is comfortable standing alone. I am a super independent person and I love people who are comfortable embracing their independence too. I look for someone who can take a joke. Doesn’t matter what the joke is, the guy has to be down for it. I love joking around all of the time so if he has no sense of humor, there is no point.  Honesty is super important. I’m really understanding if someone is upfront with me about anything really. Communication is something I’m really into because all the classes I take for management are literally about how to talk to people. But mostly I just look for someone I actually enjoy spending time with. That is surprisingly hard to come by.
HC NYU: What is your ideal date?
FN: A concert and dinner/drinks is always a good one. You can tell so much from a person by how they act at a concert. Especially if they’re one of those annoying people that complain all the time or need to be super high or drunk. You’ll find out all about it on the date. Plus, concerts are fun so it’s a win even if the guy sucks. But also, enjoying music with someone who is equally into it as you is such a great feeling. You’ll always see who you connect with this way I think.
