It’s homecoming week Bees, and there are fun-filled activities planned all week long. I’ve compiled a list of do’s and don’ts in order for you to have a homecoming that’s just as fun as it is safe.
Do: Manage your time wisely. Nobody wants to be missing out on homecoming activities because they’re stuck inside typing a paper. And let’s be real, nobody wants to finish homework on the morning after homecoming either. Let’s just say that morning is set aside for nothing but Netflix in a dark room with plenty of water. So use these next few weekdays to head to the library and get your life together.
Don’t: Skip out on events because you think you’re “too cool.” Believe it or not, Ambrose spends a lot of money on things they think we would like. Head to that concert on the Rogo patio or go watch Inside Out on the front lawn (seriously, do it). Your friends might not think it’s the “cool” thing to do, but you’re having a great time meeting new people while they’re re-watching Gossip Girl for the fifth time.*
Do: Dress accordingly. You may think your new, brown, leather jacket and Steve Madden riding boots seem like a good choice, but a few hours into Kegs ‘n Eggs says otherwise. As of now, Saturday has a high of 72 degrees, so grab your Ambrose T-shirt, put on some jeans (or leggings), and don’t worry about people spilling their drinks on you.
Don’t: Go too hard too fast. The “eggs” will be there all morning (afternoon and night included), so don’t feel the need to fill up on them too quickly. You don’t want to be stuck in the bathroom throwing up from all of those *cough* eggs *cough*. Pace yourself and wash those eggs down with some water here and there.
Do: Have fun, but bee safe and bee responsible. Take pictures and make hundreds of memories. Cheer our Bees on to victory. Whether it’s your first or your last, homecoming is a blast.
*There is nothing wrong with re-watching Gossip Girl. In fact, I envy everyone who has the time.
