I had the pleasure of interviewing one of my co-workers and a highly nominated campus cutie for this week, Derek Mooney. Derek describes himself as pretty shy but friendly, easy to talk to and stands about 5’8”, maintaining average weight (LOL).

 

HC (Her Campus): Hi Derek, it is so rewarding to have you in my presence this evening. I see you have a girlfriend but that doesn’t mean the campus can’t get to know you a little better. I’d like to start on a negative note and go higher. What is your largest turn off when it comes to girls?

DM (Derek Mooney): Hey Lauren, it’s always a pleasure to be in your company. My biggest turn off is not being able to hold a conversation and also, gross teeth.

 

HC: What about turn on?

DM: Sucker for beautiful eyes and a girl who can hold a conversation.

 

HC: SOMEONE likes a girl who can talk! Okay, describe your perfect date.

DM: I’d start out by hiking the bluffs. Once we reach the top, there would be a picnic waiting for us. Then we’d go fishing and other outdoor activities. Followed by a nice candle lit dinner and a movie back at my place.

 

HC: Oh how fun. Blondes or brunettes?

DM: Blondes, for sure.

 

HC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

DM: Making some big bucks as a financial advisor.

 

 

HC: How do you spend your free time?

DM: I work three jobs: Midtown, Gabby’s, and HWY 61 liquor store.

 

HC: Speaking of Gabby’s, who’s your favorite co-worker?

DM: (Laughs) You would ask that.

 

HC: Last thing you Googled?

DM: Erbs and Gerbs’ phone number.

 

HC: Guilty pleasure?

DM: Gilmore Girls; love that show.

 

HC: Favorite word?

DM: Tickle.

 

HC: How do you feel knowing that people chose you to be our campus cutie?

DM: I’m pretty honored. I didn’t think many people knew me and I feel blessed to have this bestowed upon me. Also, glad to have another opportunity to chat with you, Lauren.
