Meet one of the coolest freshmen on campus, Liv! We have been best friends ever since we moved in together two weeks ago and you can usually find Liv either studying, singing or acting crazy at late hours of the night. Liv’s full name is Olivia De Sonne Ammaccapane, yes she knows it’s a mouthful. The first thing anyone notices about her is her Long Island accent as she hails from Commack, NY. Liv is from Welsh Family Hall and loves every part of living there.
Let’s Get to It:
What is your favorite Dining Hall Food?
Biscuits and gravy
What is your favorite class and why?
Middle Eastern Language and Culture in the Arabian Nights. I’m fascinated by the literature of other cultures; the texts have survived so long. The class gives insight into what life might have been like back then. My professor is very funny and interactive which makes the class even better.
What songs have you been jamming to lately?
“Geronimo” by Sheppard, “Hallelujah” by Panic! At the Disco, “Shut Up and Dance” by Walk the Moon, “Stand Up” by the Cab, and “Shots” by Imagine Dragons are some of my all-time favorites.Â
What activities are you planning on doing while here at Notre Dame?
I am one of the latest additions to the Notre Dame Folk Choir. In high school, I was involved in tennis and the art and literary student publication, so I may be joining similar clubs once I get more situated.
What’s the best part of being a whirlwind?
Besides the fact that it’s close to everything? Haha. My favourite part of being a whirlwind is the sense of community. People in Welsh Fam really care about my wellbeing. I also love our rector and priest. (Shout out to Carol and Father Greg.)
Who’s your celebrity crush?
Theo James, he has a spectacular accent and I love the Divergent movies.
If you could have any job in the world what would it be?
Working at the museum of natural history.
What’s your favorite candy?
Kit Kats
How Awesome is your Roommate?
OHMYGODDDD, we were made for each other.Â
Thanks for the interview, Liv!
XOXO, HCND
