Whether you’re sitting in class, at work, or in the car, there are always small workouts that you can try out. Don’t let time or school deter you from your goals! Check out these moves you can practice during the day to tone your body:
1. Seated Jumping Jacks
This ia a simple modified jumping jack. Sit to the edge of your chair, open and close your arms and legs, and do the modified jumping jack as fast as you can. Do as many reps as you want! This is a great workout for cardio.
2. Clenches
In any seat, clench and hold your butt (or any tagerted muscle), and hold it for ten seconds or longer. Repeat this move 5-8 times a day for firm glutes!
3. Ankle Rotations
Rotate your anklesto the left and then to the right for a few seconds. Do five sets of eight reps in each direction; it’s a simple way to strenthen your ankle and leg muscles.
4. Calf Muscle Raises
While you’re seated, raise your legs up to your toes.
5. Leg Lifts
Starting with both feet flat on the floor, lift each leg until it touches the underside of your desk. Do ten sets of eight reps to strengthen your thigh muscles and your core.
