When and why did you join Greek Life?
I joined Delta Phi Epsilon in Spring 2013. I was a transfer student and I wanted to get more involved on campus so I felt joining a sorority was a great way to accomplish that.
How has joining Greek life enriched your college experience?
I’ve gained so many connections, and relationships that I know will last a lifetime. The most important thing that’s enriched my collegiate experience would be the leadership skills I’ve obtained from being a member of Greek life. Often times this is over looked, but each organization is ran similar to a business and it gives you the opportunity to develop skills that can give you a leg up upon entering the business world. Â
Aside from being chapter president, how else are you involved on campus?
I love taking part in different community service efforts around campus. Community service has become such an important thing to me since coming to St. John’s, and the University is amazing at providing students with opportunities to do so.
Favorite part/event of Greek Week and why?
I would have to say the comradery that takes place during Greek Week is my favorite part. It’s the one time out of the year where all of the orgs really get to get together, and cheer each other on. It’s an amazing way to further your bonds in the Greek community and have a lot of fun doing it.
