Fun Day is undoubtedly Skidmore’s most important day for fashion and, for those of us unlucky enough to be stuck writing papers instead of dancing in the desert, it’s the perfect time to dress like you’re going to Coachella. If you’re anything like me, though, it’s a little daunting to look at your monochrome closet and try to put together a Fun Day appropriate outfit. With everyone else dressed as bright as that bouncy castle on the green, how are you supposed to make your black and white wardrobe stand out? Good news is, it’s not impossible. In fact, there are loads of possibilities. Check out these looks for inspiration, borrowing from the trends we saw at Coachella last weekend. Think fringe, fringe, and more fringe. And round sunglasses for good measure.
This is pretty much exactly what I’ll be wearing on Saturday. Black on black, all the way down to the muddy grass. A little fringe in the bag adds enough excitement to hopefully keep me from looking like I’m attending a funeral.

Off the shoulder tops are probably the most flattering trend from this season! This is a super easy, relaxed outfit that you can totally recycle for the first party of the summer.

Just enough fringe to keep it interesting. This look is super safe and still super fun. Plus, these Saint Laurent sandals are to die for.
