This last Friday, I sat down with campus cutie, Travis, and we talked about some fun facts and favorite memories!Â
Travis, tell me what you’re involved with here at KU
I’m the head of Greek Ambassadors for the Go Greek Team, I’m the director of internal relations for KU’s Dance Marathon, Co-chair of marketing for The Big Event and the recruitment chair for my fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega.Â
Wow! That’s a lot! What’s your favorite memory at KU been so far?
KU Dance Marathon my freshman year! That’s when I discovered how much I wanted to be involved on campus and it was the first time I held a leadership position anywhere in college. I also discovered that I wanted to be a teacher!Â
Really? That’s great! What are you most excited about becoming a teacher?Â
I didn’t always want to be a teacher, but I changed my major this past summer. I have always loved working with kids and people and I also love to travel. I hope to work with kids in at-risk areas because the kids who are the hardest to teach are the ones who need it the most. (swoon!)Â
Now onto the fun stuff. Describe your perfect date
It would have to be something adventurous. Siting and talking are great and all. But, it’s so much easier to see the person while doing something that you wouldn’t normally do!Â
So, what kind of person would you take on this date?Â
I want someone who is open-minded and independent. It’s really important to know and love yourself before you can love somebody else!Â
Anything else you want people to know about you?
I can describe myself in three words: Outgoing, Optimistic and Passionate. I have two Uvulas and I’m terrified of pigeons and frogs.Â
