Her Campus (HC): What do you want to do after you graduate?
Bryn Westerlind (BW): I want to be a stylist!
HC: Dream job?
BW: Go to New York and become a stylist for events or help run a large high-fashion company.
HC: How would you describe your style?
BW: I don’t have an exact style. I’m not overly trendy. I like to wear basics for the most part, but then have a couple trendy pieces to stay relatively current. All year long I always wear earth tones. It doesn’t matter the season, you will always find me in blacks, grays, tans, etc.
HC: What are you most passionate about?
BW: To me relationships are very important, whether its with family, friends, or organizations. I think it’s so important to be approachable, fun, and easy to talk to. I’m a caring person so I love helping people out or listening and just being there for people.
HC: Hardest part of balancing a sorority, social life, school, job, etc.?
BW: It’s actually very difficult to balance everything. Being in a sorority comes with a lot of obligations such as events and meetings, and also having a job just adds more to my plate. I try and go to everything that I can without sacrificing my school works integrity.
HC: Where do you work and do you like it?
BW: I’m a solicitor call for a company. I can’t say it’s my dream job. I just sit there and call people; I have way too much energy for a desk job.
HC: Favorite thing to do on weekends?
BW: I love reuniting with my friends after a long week and going out, or even having a girls night in. As long as I have my friends I’m happy!
HC: Favorite memory at FSU?
BW: It was truly amazing to be a Seminole when we won the BCS Championship in 2013. The school spirit was incredible. I was at AJ’s and it was so packed nobody could move. When we scored and finally won the game and became the champions, people were yelling and screaming and popping champagne bottles and hugging. I still get chills thinking about it today.
HC: Advice to next year’s freshmen?
BW: Have fun! College isn’t only about gaining knowledge; it’s about making mistakes, learning how to balance friends, going out, and relationships. I truly believe people can find who they are in college and I think it’s important to do so.
HC: Most important thing you’ve learned in college?
BW: I’ve learned how important friendships are. Not having my actual family has made me appreciate my friends so much more knowing that I always have a person to go to and that I can depend on.
HC: Current favorite song?
BW: Shut Up and Dance! It’s so fun and I can’t help but be in an amazing mood when I hear it.
HC: Favorite place to eat in tally?
BW: This is hard because I love eating, but I would have to say Gordo’s. I’m from South Florida and have had a lot of Hispanic friends growing up so Gordo’s reminds me of home.
