The first major award ceremony of 2015 has been, and here at HCX we are giving you the low down on the best and worst of this years Golden Globes. Muted colours were the main trend this year from silvers to nudes, bold colours seemed to have gone out with 2014.
Dakota Johnson wore a stunning metallic strapless dress. Her thigh slit is perfectly positioned and the small train adds glamour. Dakota is making the most of the New Year sparkle while she can and we love it!Â
We love how Emma Stone has broken the mould and worn a jump suit by Lanvin, the monochrome colours allow her auburn cropped style to pop, leaving her looking effortlessly chic.Â
Kate Hudson, as always, steals the show. Her figure hugging Atelier Versace gown is simply beautiful showing off her classic beauty.Â
Sienna Miller has to be awarded the title of best dressed, with her jaw-dropping Miu Miu gown; the subtle floral print is feminine and displays the delicate detail of Miu Miu’s designs. The low V neck is daring yet she still remains classy and elegant.Â

Now let’s look at some of the less than flattering dresses that graced the red carpet.
We see what Julianne Moore was trying to achieve however the execution did not quite work. Unfortunately she looked more like she was on the way to the Rio Safe Sex Ball than the Golden Globes.Â
Rosamund Pike’s white dress gets a big thumbs down from us, the shape and style wasn’t the most flattering and didn’t compete with her usual impeccable style.
Â
We were disappointed by Keira Knightely’s choice of gown; a frumpy and frilly gown has replaced her normally quirky yet feminine style. Blake Lively has proved to us that pregnancy does not stop you from being sexy and stylish and unfortunately the Keira- Chanel collaboration did not prevail.Â
