3 Things to Splurge on For Your Closet

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Utah chapter.

There are many things I believe every girl should splurge on for her closet, but I’m only going to tell you about three that will actually benefit you. I know that as college students, we are collecting change for spending money and can’t just go out and spend hundreds of dollars! We all want to look stylish and fashionable, so there are three things girls should save their money for. Instead of going out to buy cheap imitators, invest in products that will last a long time and achieve the look you’re going for. Think about this: would you rather buy one pair of shoes that will last years or buy a pair that will only last two months? Always remember, it’s quality over quantity! Here are the three items you should be saving up for:

1. A Classic Bootie

The key for picking a perfect bootie is to go very classic and chic, so you never get bored of them. Also if you’ve spent money on good quality shoes, you’ll b able to tell with how how comfortable they are compared to a cheaper pair. I wear my booties every single season. In the summer I wear them with cute shorts, in fall with all my sweaters, in winter with leggings and a puffy coat, and spring with my favorite spring dress! Here are a couple of great booties, but always browse until you find the perfect pair!

Paul Green “Aubrey”

Steve Madden “Porcha”

Phillip Lim “Alexa”

2. A Perfect Handbag

You don’t have to invest in a Hermes bag or Chanel. Just investing in a bag that is real leather and again very classic, is always a must. Ā I hardly ever switch my bag out. I usually use my one designer bag all the time becaust it looks good with all my outfits!

Micheal Kors “Selma”

Kate Spade “alice street – luxe adriana”

Ā

Marc by Marc Jacobs “Electro Q Hillier”

3. A Good Pair of Jeans

This. Is. A. Must. If you don’t wear jeans, then get a good pair of jeggingsĀ (jean leggings)! You want them to fit you perfectly no matter that style. Jeans are so classic they will always be in style! Also a tip, don’t wash your jeans every time you wear them and when you do wash them, wash them inside out! So let me say it one more time, you need to invest in a good pair of jeans!

True Religion “Cora”

Citizens of Humanity “Dylan”

7 For all Mankind “Slim Illusion Luxe”
