With finals rapidly approaching, thoughts of 3 a.m. cramming and Starbucks latte gulping are what come to mind. But if caffeine shots aren’t enough to keep you energized, try this Finals Playlist I created that’s comprised of songs that will surely keep you on track.
1. “Loosing Sleep” by John Newman – Hey, if you’re not getting enough z’s during finals week at least you know John Newman isn’t getting much shut-eye either. The beat will definitely make you a bit more chipper about losing sleep.
2. “In Your Arms” by Nico & Vinz – You’re probably familiar with their song “Am I Wrong” but a listen through their album will prove they have even better songs to keep you in a feel-good mood as you study (or make you wish you were crying in someone’s arms about how you’re going to fail – either or).
3. “I’m Not the Only One” by Sam Smith ft. A$AP Rocky – You’re definitely not the only college kid who’s having a grueling time studying. This mellow song might make the pain of sifting through piles of notes a little bit more bearable.
4. “One Last Time” by Ariana Grande – Regardless of your thoughts on Ariana Grande, this song goes out to all my fellow seniors who can take comfort in knowing this is the last time you’ll have to study for fall finals.
5. “My Body” by Young the Giant – Your body might be hating you for those five Red Bulls you just drank, but you definitely won’t be hating this upbeat jam. Hopefully the reoccurring line “ But I won’t quit” will inspire you to muscle through finals week and come out on top.
