5 #kindabasic Drinks to Keep You Toasty This Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chapman chapter.

Cold days (and by cold I mean less than 70 degrees), holiday tunes, and your favorite Starbucks/Coffee Bean drink are all ways to start getting ready for the upcoming events. Whether you’re headed to Thanksgiving at your grandparents’ house or about to stakeout a new TV during Black Friday, these drinks will all keep you nice and toasty, along with tasting deeeeelicious!

1. Peppermint Mocha

Nothing says, “it’s almost Christmas and I’m absolutely fricken excited” like a Starbucks Peppermint Mocha in our favorite red cup. Not in the mood for espresso? Ask for a peppermint hot chocolate! Equally as yummy and no caffeine.

2. Chai Latte

Okay…so even though they serve chai lattes year round, it still makes me ridiculously happy to have one. Chai is a great source of caffeine, and also is very good for your digestive system! Get it with soy milk, and it tastes like marshmallows (shout out to KB).

3. Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino

For all of my fellow salted caramel fiends out there, this thing is amazing. You can get this hot too, which is also extremely tasty, but I like the frappuccino version more – not as sweet. While it probably isn’t the healthiest drink for you on the menu, there’s no shame in spoiling yourself every once in a while.

4. Winter Dream Tea

Coffee Bean has a Winter Dream Tea that is super tasty. Think a little along the lines of chai, but with cinnamon, rooibos, and more spices. Make it a Winter Dream Tea latte (I think it goes super well with soy milk but that’s just me!), grab a blanket and your favorite holiday flick, and you are ready to go!

5. Apple Cider

If the smell of Apple Cider alone doesn’t put you in the holiday mood, I’m not sure what would. They even make Apple Cider K-Cups for all my Keurig peeps out there. As a former barista, I would even add a little caramel to the mix…oh baby.
