The Aggie Barn!  A structure that has become a landmark for Aggies all-over was originally located at the north end of small-town Regean, TX off Highway 6 but was later relocated about .3 miles south due to reconstrucition of Hwy 6. Mr. Thaggard Kirkpatrick, the man who started it all, had not idea how iconic his barn would become, when in 1960 he painted the words “Gig ‘Em Aggies” on its side. This barn which was initally born out of Mr. Kirpatrick’s love and pride for Texas A&M has gone on to become part of a commercial for Texas A&M, the 12th Man Foundation promotions, and it has even appeared during football games at Kyle Field.  This iconic barn now serves as a popular site for family, graduation, engagment and many other kinds of photos. For anyone interested in visiting the Aggie Barn and snapping a few pictures of their own, there is no charge for taking personal pictures at the Barn and all that is asked is that the Swinneas family be contacted before entering the property. They may reached by email at aggiebarn@live.com or by text or call at (214)395-6918 and speaking to Tressa.
