5 Ways to Reuse your Wine Bottles

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tampa chapter.

I know I’m not the only one who has an endless supply of empty wine bottles around my apartment. I keep telling myself I am going to toss them or do something creative with them, but I never do.  Here are 5 ways to decorate wine bottles to perfectly spice up your place!

1. Paint– Paint them for inspiration around your apartment, “live, laugh, love” or just to match the color scheme of your kitchen/living room/bedroom etc.  Place them on top of a mantle or along the kitchen counter for décor.

2. Vases– Make an excuse to go out and buy yourself flowers! Or in my case, I got flowers for my birthday last weekend and my go to was to put them in an empty bottle. I now have a beautiful vase of roses displayed on my dining table.

3. Wall Vase– Wine bottles are relatively narrow in size and their neck makes it easy to attach them to the wall as some hanging art if you run out of room on your everyday surfaces.

4. Holiday Deco– It’s that time of year to decorate your place with Halloween, Thanksgiving, and soon Christmas decorations! Get creative and turn your bottles into scary characters, turkeys, snowmen, or Santa!

5. Gifts– Its always hard finding the perfect present for family or friends, and especially when we have to do so on a college budget!  This year create the perfect present by personalizing an old wine bottle with their favorite colors, quotes, designs, or their name.
