As we dreaded the impending loss, our spirit was lackluster.  

… But then you remembered Fitz’s 1995 win and had a little bit of hope 

After Justin Jackson’s first run and the two-point conversion, we were getting excited…

 

Only to have Notre Dame score 20 points in the first quarter.

 

Some of us gave up and left early on. 

Then after some miracles it was 40-37 in the fourth quarter. 

We had under two minutes to tie it up and we don’t know what our feelings are doing anymore. 

IT’S TIED!!!!! OOOOOH MYYYY GODDDDD!!!!! YAY JACK MITCHELL!

Your heart stopped beating and your lungs stopped breathing for all of overtime. 

JACK MITCHELL MAKES THE FIELD GOAL!!!! NORTHWESTERN WINS!!!! THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER!!! GO ‘CATS IN A NON-IRONIC WAY!!!!! I am spazzing out at this point. 

I think I’m now also in love with Jack Mitchell. You know formal is coming up…

But for now, TIME TO PARTY!!!!
