The best part of October is watching Halloween films. Many watch horror films or shows such as “The Walking Dead.” Others watch cute childhood films like “Casper the Friendly Ghost” or “Halloweentown.” The problem is they are not on Netflix! Although we have the technology to access everything in a super convenient way, the favorite Halloween films simply aren’t there. What can you do instead? Here a five things to do on Halloween.
1. Carve a pumpkin
The best part of October is the array of Pumpkin flavored food products, but one can’t forget the classic pumpkin. It’s fun to carve different designs into them even a beginner can do it. Yes it is a lot of work! However; the result is one’s own creation. One can make them as scary as they want, and really get into the Halloween spirit with this festive activity. If you don’t want to carve a real pumpkin, they do sell fake pumpkins that one can carve without the hassle of taking out the pumpkin guts.
2. Hand out Candy
Trick or treaters come to every house in the Neighborhood looking for candy. Why not hand candy out to all the little kids in the area. It’s really fun to see the gleeful smiles on young ones faces as they get all the candy they can eat.
3. Listen to Halloween songs on YouTube.
There’s plenty of songs to get you in the Halloween spirit. The Ghost Busters theme for example is a classic. This is Halloween from The Nightmare before Christmas is an excellent choice as well. Dance the monster mash from your bedroom. Get in the spirit of it all on the one day of the year it’s actually Halloween!
4. Party
Go to a fun costume party and chat with your friends. It does not have to anything fancy just have a good time and maybe dance to the music some. As long you have fun, that’s all that matters. Halloween is a time to be you, and the Halloween parties are always the best.
5. Rent a Film
Just because it isn’t on Netflix doesn’t make it unavailable. Go to the library and check a movie out. Not all of them will be available, but you never know what you’ll find. Just find a DVD that is entertaining. It’s all about the enjoyment.
