What drew you to the College of Charleston?  I transferred here at the beginning of my sophomore year from a school in Boston. I wanted to be in a city and Charleston had always been my favorite. There were so many opportunities to work and follow your passions here that I couldn’t resist.Â
Â
Favorite spot on campus? The Cistern Yard – the history and stories that accompany the gorgeous scenery makes it the perfect place to relax. Or the Charleston 40 Office in Admissions; it’s my campus safe haven.Â
Â
Are you a part of any CofC organizations? Charleston 40, Kappa Delta, Theatre Department
What is the best part of being in Charleston 40? I am currently the New Member mom (<3 my babies) and I love showing them what makes the organization "great, not good” (the unofficial C40 motto) & such an incredible family.
Â
Do you have any advice for how to deal with a busy school/life schedule?  I would not be the person to ask as I tend to overload myself. But my best advice is to find something that helps you escape for at least half an hour everyday – whether that be a mindless episode of Housewives, taking a yoga class, or getting way too over invested in Scandal.
Â
If you have free time, what’s your favorite way to spend it?  I love wandering the streets of Charleston and catching up with a friend. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the few blocks around campus we miss the rest of what the city has to offer.Â
Â
Favorite “guilty pleasure” tv show? Anything on Bravo. I am pretty convinced I am destined to be a Real Housewife (Nene is my spirit animal).
Favorite food and favorite restaurant in Charleston? I could eat Thai food every day of my life but my favorite restaurant is FIG (but only when my parents, Bev & Gary, are in town).
Â
Favorite movie? My Cousin Vinny – Marissa Tomei is everything in that movie/what I imagine my mother was like in the 80’s
Â
What song do you currently have on repeat? “Backstreet Freestyle” by Kendrick Lamar
Â
What is your dream job? Being the girl riffing and singing the choruses of rap sons.Â
Â
If you could go back and give “freshman you” any words or wisdom, what would you say? You do you, girl.Â
