1. People being in your personal space sometimes feels suffocating.
It’s called personal space for a reason, right?
2. You freak out when you make plans to go out with friends because you really didn’t mean to…
3. ….So, you find any excuse to escape the torture.
4. If you are talked into going out, you realize soon that you should have stayed inside.
5. Talking to people isn’t bad. You’d just much rather do it less often.
6. Your circle of friends is smaller than a cheerio.
If there even is one.
7. You sometimes find yourself hiding from people you know in public.
8. Being in solitude gives you more satisfaction than being out and about does.
9. Silence doesn’t bother you. It actually makes you happy.
10. You screen most of your calls…
…or at least you try to.
11. You’re very observant.
Researchers have found that in comparison to extroverts, introverts are known to catch or notice things that most aren’t aware of.
12. You’ve heard “don’t be shy,” “come out of your shell,” or “why are you so quiet?” too many times to count.
13. Your inner thoughts are wild, full of your own past experiences and other stimulation.
14. Your journal is everything to you.
All in all, there’s nothing wrong with being an introvert. It’s apart of who you are! However, the only risk you might face is that those that aren’t familiar with you will consider you to be standoffish or aloof.
You can try experiencing the best of both worlds by being a little more open all the while staying true to who you are.
