Anchor & Roses

Price: Anchor- $100, Roses- $180

Pain from (1-10): Anchor-8,  Roses- 8

Location: Right thigh

Done by: Anchor done by Jamie Taffee at Black Eagle Tattoo, in Charleston, WV. Roses done by Richie at Kyklops Tattoo in Pittsburgh, PA.

HC: Why did you get this tattoo? What does it mean to you?

Zoey: “I got this tattoo in two parts.  The anchor was my first ever tattoo. It has a quote ‘I refuse to sink’ inside of it, which is a quote from a song by my favorite band, The Wonder Years.  It’s an important quote to me because it reminds me to never give up, even when life gets really hard. The roses are my most recent tattoo. I decided to get those, because I wanted to add on to my thigh piece and I love the look of traditional style roses.”

HC: Do you have any plans for more tattoos?

Zoey: “Most definitely. I would love to continue to add on to my thigh piece. I think thigh tattoos look really awesome, and I’d love to have a leg sleeve one day.”

HC: You’ve been to some local shops, would you recommend them to anybody else?

Zoey: “I would most definitely recommend Kyklops Tattoo. My mom and I both got tattooed there as walk in appointments. The customer service was wonderful, and the artwork was even better.”
