If your summer is going anything like mine, you’re probably going crazy due to boredom. Next time you’re stuck when trying to find something to do, watch one of your favorite movies from childhood. It’s a great use of your time, trust me. Be warned though, you might want to spend the rest of your summer re-watching every episode of Boy Meets World after this. Try some of the ones below:
The Lizzie McGuire Movie
Who didn’t want to go to Rome to get tricked by an attractive international pop star and then end up with their best friend/perfect guy after watching this movie when they were younger? It couldn’t have just been me. Honestly, I’d still be cool with this happening in my life.
The Luck of the Irish
Starring that one guy we all thought was cute that was in all of Disney Channel’s movies in the late 90s. I don’t even remember what happens in this movie except that there is a scene where the characters try to find the literal end of rainbow. You can’t go wrong with something like that.
Cadet Kelly
Lizzie McGuire and Ren Stevens in the same movie? Do you need another reason to go back and re-watch this one?
My Date with the President’s Daughter
This movie taught me two things: what the address of the White House is and that Eric Matthews needed to do more movies.
Hocus Pocus
I can’t remember a day that’s gone by where I haven’t quoted this movie. “Hocus Pocus” is one of those movies that our entire generation loves and no one really questions it. Have you ever met anyone who doesn’t like it? Probably not. If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably considered dressing up like the Sanderson sisters with two other friends for Halloween.
Matilda
Did anyone else try to see if they had magic powers after watching “Matilda”? Because I totally did. This movie really just made us grateful that our parents and school principal weren’t anything like Matilda’s.
Good Burger
If you want to reminisce about your childhood, you really can’t go wrong with old Kenan and Kel movies. You probably also have at least one friend that likes “Good Burger” more than they should.
Halloweentown
There have been so many Halloweentown movies, but there’s no doubt that the first one is the best one. The awful make-up and costumes in this movie just make me love it even more. And which one of us didn’t want a grandma like Marnie’s?
Zenon
This movie had made me really think this is how we would be dressing ourselves in fifty years when I was younger. I still kind of hope this is the direction the fashion industry is heading. Who doesn’t love bright pink tights?
The Princess Diaries
This might be one of the best coming-of-age movies of our generation. We’ve got Julie Andrews, Anne Hathaway, M&M’s on pizza, and a foot-poppin’ kiss, what else could we ever need?
