As a college student, caffeine has become my liquid luck. Thankfully Riverside has some of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. Not to mention, the perfect coffee spots to study or even take a break to catch up with friends. Here’s just a few I’ve discovered and been recommended to that are conveniently close to campus.
1. Molino’s Coffee {DT Riverside}
The ambiance of Molino’s coffee is set just right with an open layout that makes anyone feel a sense of freedom while sipping coffee. It has a large open window that overlooks Mission Inn. Just a heads up this Cuban coffee is potent so drink up when it’s time to study especially the Affogato {picture on far left}
2’ Lift Coffee Roasters {Central Ave. Riverside}
Coffee art is a difficult and admirable craft that not all coffee houses can achieve. Lift Coffee Roasters however, always delivers on precise coffee art that never fails to impress the eyes and taste buds. The coffee shop has a rustic feel to it and is very down to earth with wood floors and walls. It is fairly new but has established itself amongst the locals and college students alike as a great coffee shop that provides excellent service with tasteful drinks.
3’ Back to the Grind {DT Riverside}
Back to the Grind has a magical atmosphere where young and old gather to enjoy a hot cup of Joe. It’s a great place to study, people watch, and drink coffee to your hearts content. The art displayed are from very talented local artists. The basement has a large open space along with classic tables and is the ideal place to study. Just be forewarned when BTTG hosts open mic nights/afternoons because it can get pretty rowdy with Spoken Word and singing. It’s always an adventure at Back to the Grind and their house coffee which is fittingly named “Back to the Grind,” is divine and rich.
Personally, I can’t wait to try out other coffee shops in Riverside during midterms week because they never fail to put me in a good mood as I study. Good luck on midterms and try out these places as your next potential study location and caffeine fix!
