Attention fashion lovers and street style enthusiasts!  If you have not already heard of the website, Lookbook.nu you are missing out.  Lookbook.nu is a fashion, youth culture, and community website created by Yuri Lee in San Francisco.  It is an innovative take on previous street style blogs like The Sartorialist.  It’s free and users can post their own street-fashion photography, starring themselves and their looks.  Lookbook.nu is an amazing way to give and to get fashion inspiration from real people all over the world.
Different from other blogs or sites, Lookbook.nu is interactive.  Users are allowed the option of “hyping” and commenting on looks posted by other users.  You can fan and follow certain lookbookers in particular and even gain your own following.  I love that most users post a link to their blogs in their profile so I can follow those as well.
The default view of the site is called the “hot” page.  It shows the looks that are most popular on the site that day, based on the amount of “hype” its gotten.  Lookbook.nu also offers a number of other features.  There is a forum where users can post questions and discuss a range of topics from shopping to movies to photography.  Also, certain users can be featured for an interview.  They are usually popular users on the site and it gives a better idea of who the person behind the photos is.
Overall, I am huge advocate for Lookbook.nu and the amount of time I spend on it is evidence of that. Â Perhaps what I love most, is seeing people from every part of the world in love with fashion and displaying their own unique perspective and style. Â Basically, if you love fashion and street style, check it out. Â It is endlessly inspiring!
