1. Blossom Kite Festival
Date: March 29th, 2014
Time: 10am-4:30pm
Where: Constitution Avenue & 17th Street, NW
What: This event promises to get rid of your winter blues by splashing the monuments with color! There are competitions and demonstrations by kite makers, and if you have one, you’re welcome to brighten up the sky even more by flying your own kite. Whether you’re looking to spend some time outdoors or visiting the landmarks, this is an event you don’t want to miss!
2. Southwest Waterfront Fireworks Festival
Date: April 5th, 2014
Time: 1pm-9pm
Where: Southwest Waterfront
What: Free music, entertainment, delicious food, AND fireworks? What more could you ask in a festival! Make sure you pencil this in, fireworks start at 8:30, rain or shine!
3. Passport D.C.
Date: May 3rd, 2014
Time: 10am-4pm
Where: Embassy Row
What: If you’re looking for a chance to relax before your final exams, head to Embassy Row to experience the amazing showcases over 40 embassies have prepared! There will be artisans, performers, and lecturers to give you an insight into the many countries that are participating. Why study about a country when you can experience all it has to offer at this exciting event!
