I chatted with the ever-stylish, ever-smiley, Rachel Gill, probably the only person I know who could get away with a bright orange dress, and chunky black heels.

Where is your outfit from?

The dress is from an independent shop called Rio in Sheffield (it was only ÂŁ10!), my shoes are from New Look, the suspender tights are from Pretty Polly and my cape is off Asos Marketplace.

How would you describe your style?

I’d describe my style as VERY colourful, mismatched, eclectic, kitsch, retro and often involving cats.

Biggest fashion faux-pas?

I don’t believe in fashion faux-pas (some people would say I make them every day!) Instead, I think that if you wear whatever you feel good in, that shows. Fashion should be fun!

If you could only have 3 fashion items, what would you choose?

Something velvety, something bright, and a smile!

Hey! I am a second year student at Durham University studying Sociology and Anthropology. I love writing and spending time with people and so cannot wait to start a HerCampus Chapter at Durham.
