This week’s campus celebrity is a very talented alumni: Roxann Dawson
 Roxann Dawson is a very talented actress that was born in Los Angeles, Ca. She is most famously known for her role as Chief Engineer, B’Elanna Torres, on the television series Star Trek: Voyager.

Dawson attended UC Berkeley and notably graduated in 1980 as a Theater Arts major. Successfully right after graduation, she landed her first big professional acting job with a Broadway production.  Dawson landed the role of Diana Morales in the play A Chorus Line.Â

Besides theater work, Dawson also paved her way into television and ultimately the big screen. Some of her most notable works include: Star Trek: Voyager (1995), Baywatch (1989), The Untouchables (1993), Broken Angel (1988), Mortal Sins (1992), and Greyhounds (1994).Â

Later in her career, Dawson decided to take a break from acting and take up directing. She made her television directorial debut on Star Trek: Voyager (1995) and on later shows such as Any Day Now (1998) and Charmed (1998).
