1. Describe your style.
I guess I would say I have a pretty edgy style, but I love wearing dresses and skirts so a sort of girly twist on that. A typical going out outfit for me would be some variation of a skater skirt with a crop top and maybe a leather jacket. I dress pretty comfortably so usually a casual chic vibe. I love playing with fashion; but, I don’t like to take it, or myself, too seriously.
2. What about most played song on your iPod currently?
Talk Dirty by Jason Derulo–it’s such a good pump up song, but my most played overall is probably Fast Car by Tracy Chapman. The Boyce Avenue cover is my favorite.
3. What is your favorite study location?
I usually go to first floor Perkins in one of the cubicles if I really have to get work done, but Coffeehouse is a fun place to go with friends.
4. What has been your favorite Duke experience so far?
Definitely doing PBUILD. I met the most incredible people, and I had the time of my life. If I could give one tip to incoming freshmen it would be to do a pre-orientation program. My crew is like my family now, and it makes the transition into college so much easier.
5. What are you involved in on campus?
I’m in a sorority, I write and edit for Her Campus, and I am dirty blue tenting this year! Outside of Duke I am also a Youth Rep for an organization called Dress a Girl Around the World that sends handmade dresses to young girls in impoverished countries, so I sew and do promotional work for them.
6. Shooters vs. Devine’s
Shooters always.
7. What’s your guilty pleasure?
Anything and everything Disney, I think I know all the classic Disney movie songs by heart. The last time I went to Disney World I cried when I got there because I was so excited. I was sixteen.
8. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Paris. I’ve heard incredible things about the whole vibe of the city-the people, the shopping, the food. All of that plus they have a Disneyworld there. It seems like heaven on earth.
9. Who inspires you?
My mom and Beyoncé because they are both ***FLAWLESS.
10. What’s your ideal job?
Maybe, working as the head of a big time magazine company. I am doing Duke in New York this summer, and I am hoping to intern at a fashion magazine in the City to see if that really would be something I want to do in the future.
