Why did you come to UT? My counselor recommended it, and I have family here that lives in Orlando.
What organizations are you involved in? Delta Kappa Alpha Cinematic Film Fraternity. I’m the Fundraising Chair and Professionalism Chair.
How does Tampa compare to Egypt? It’s totally different. Mainly the environment, people and the culture are different. Right now with the Revolution, the country is unstable. Also, there’s a different understanding between the people in Egypt and a lot more culture.
Who is your Celebrity Crush? I don’t have one. I don’t like celebrities. People praise them too much. Ordinary people deserve more. Celebrities are fake.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Working on a film, or just getting work.
What genre? Or topic? Either a drama or documentaries; my favorite director is Darren Aronofsky.
What’s your best trait, and why? Personality. I am able to understand people really well. I empathize with them.
What are three words that would describe you? Three words to describe me would be Cairo-mantic, humble, and passionate.
What’s the story behind “Cairo-mantic”? My friends call me that. Obviously I’m from Cairo, but they think I’m a bit of a romantic.
Where would you go for a dream date? An isolated beach.
