1. Go into Georgetown (shopping and cupcakes)
One of the greatest benefits of going to school in Maryland is our proximity to D.C., and especially the gorgeous Georgetown! Georgetown has so much to offer from amazing shops to restaurants to the world-renown Georgetown Cupcake. Georgetown is so romantic and it’s the perfect place to spend a romantic evening on Valentine’s Day.  Don’t let the snow stop you from this DC highlight.Â
2. Cook Together
If you don’t feel like heading out into the cold weather on Valentine’s Day, don’t worry! There’s nothing cuter or cozier than cooking up a nice, warm meal with your special someone. There’s no need to get dressed up in uncomfortable clothes at all, just hop online and find a recipe that you both like and get to work!
3. Watch the sunrise
OK, this one might require you to get up a bit earlier than you might like, but it’ll be completely worth it! Sunrises in CP are so beautiful, especially when you’re looking at them on the mall. If you really feel like you can’t wake up early enough to watch the sunrise, wait a few more hours and watch the sunset. Equally as romantic.Â
4. Picnic Indoors
This is another one for those of us who are too scared to brace the bitter cold of February. Order some nice quality food and set up a blanket with some candles and you’ve got yourself an insanely romantic and cozy dinner date.Â
5. Ice Skating
Â
For all you super energetic couples out there, ice skating is a perfect way to spend this holiday. Even if you’re not a gold-medalist Olympic figure skater, ice skating is always fun and it’s even better when you’ve got a cutie hanging on your arm- or helping you up.Â
